 You would think I'd know without a doubt which races my father had won. After all, I have privileged access to his trophies, photos and letters as well as hundreds of slides and many glowing family memories. 
You would think I'd know which races he was in and whether he had come first, third, or 27th. You'd be entitled to think I'd know all about his career in Australia -but it's not that simple ...
